Wonderful views, good setting.

Really great stay, good small place. Spotless and new-fashioned room with lovely bathroom. Highly efficient and hospitable staff and management. Location just next door to the ruins as well as restaurants and sights. Also, to Matera center. The pool area is nice too.

The hotel is stylish and clean, nestled in a very comfortable building with exceptionally good view over the mountains. The rooms are gorgeous and immaculate with a safe box, a sofa bed, and central heating. I have not had such a very comfy bed at any other accommodation.

Really enjoyed an electric kettle, air conditioner, and an individual safe in the room. The location was pleasant, at a walking distance from Casa Grotto di Vico Solitario. The atmosphere created was quiet!

hotel overlooked street and the room was elegant. the place had a quiet atmosphere. i ate at a pleasant restaurant with freshly cooked food. the free parking was on site, exceptional service. i had truly memorable days staying at this small property.

It was a really great stay, wonderful small and stylish place. The sensational breakfast with Ham and Scrambled Eggs was served in the garden. The location was great and unbeatable, for example, an art museum was at a walking distance from the hotel. Also, the area was beautiful.

Marvellous and pleasant location in a quiet neighborhood, historic style building. Nearby il Pettolino - great place to chill out.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this luxurious 4-star hotel and we were thoroughly impressed with our experience. The hotel is situated just outside the historic center, in a quiet area, making it the perfect location for a peaceful stay. It is also conveniently close enough to the center of town to easily walk there, although be prepared for a walk up a steep hill.

Let me start with Imma. She has got to be one the best hostess/receptionist/concierge in all of Italy. From the friendly email confirming my reservation to calling and making reservations at local restaurants to calling and having pizza delivered to my room...she was amazing. The hotel was an oasis of tranquility just on the outskirts of town. My wife, my son and I spent many hours at the pool which was a dream for the hot weather. The Sassi and town are so close...right down a set of stairs less than half a km and you are there. We spent mornings around the town...afternoons at the pool...and then back to the city in the evening. If you really want to feel at home...ask for room 114 where you have you own entrance without the stairs, easy ground access to the pool, an outside table, and easy access to the back gate. Good luck finding something wrong!

Great location once we found the facility. Breakfast was adequate but somewhat limited. Staff was very helpful and allowed us to park our car in their lot while we went for a walk to town after we had checked out. Very clean and they have a lovely pool, which we did not use. Could have stayed a second night.

Check out time of 10:00 am is a little earlier than we are accustomed to seeing. Bed was quite hard.

Great location, on-site parking and pool, lovely room with large balcony and view, friendly and welcoming staff, easy access to Matera old town, beautiful gardens.
